Our Structure
Unifying the Ecosystem
The world of professional herbalism can be confusing. With multiple traditions and associations, it isn't always easy for the public to know where to turn.
The Herbal Alliance was founded to solve this. It doesn't replace the Professional Associations, it aims to amplify them. By creating a "place of meeting" for the profession, it becomes easier for patients to find qualified help and for students to find accredited training and a professional association that fits their fits their values and approach to herbal medicine.
Our Origins
The Herbal Alliance was seeded in late 2019 from a collective initiative that brought together leaders from across the UK & Ireland's herbal associations. The goal was simple: to coordinate our efforts to support herbalists and to build public confidence in professional herbal medicine.
Like the plants we work with, the Herbal Alliance has had its seasons. Following a necessary period of dormancy and careful restructuring, the Herbal Alliance has unfurled once again. Under new stewardship, the mission is to serve as a robust, modern hub connecting a unified profession with the public.
