I am practitioner, educator and author in the field of acupuncture and chinese herbal medicine (CHM) with 40 years experience. One of a handful of UK CHM pioneers in the early ’80’s I was principle lecturer on the UK’s first CHM degree course for many years. I have degrees in Physiology, Acupuncture, a University Masters in TCM and, in 1990 and 1992 completed internments in hospitals in China. A recognised authority on TCM I have spoken at over 50 TCM conferences in the UK, US, EU and Australia and have published extensively – including the textbook Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine – Roots of Modern Practice. I have been awarded fellowships of the British Acupuncture Council, The Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine and the Association of TCM. I have also served the profession as Chair of the British Acupuncture Council.
